Ruolin Liu
I am a PhD student in Bioinforamtics and Computational Biology, Iowa State Univeristy. I define myself as a data analyst and programmer . Bioinformatics is a rapidly evloving field and I am dedicated to make it even better.
Research
My Research interest touches networks, system modeling and data mining. However as a bioinformatician, I only deal with biological data, especially Next-gen sequencing data. My current project aims at developing a light, efficient, effective computational tool for detecting condition-specific alternative splicing using RNA-seq.
Hobbies
I love all kinds of sports; the top3 are badminton, basketball and soccer. I also routinely work out at gym. Those workouts really keep me fit and help me rest my mind when it is overloaded.
